Like many Christ-followers, each December before the new year arrives, I spend time in prayer asking the Lord for a special word or phrase to help direct me in the coming year. The word for 2026 was “finish”.
I thought it was a bit odd at first, but as one who needs only look as far my crochet basket to find unfinished work, I must admit the word has broad application in my life. With several WIPs (works in progress) I knew it was particularly pertinent to my writing. So, with renewed focus and a lot of prayer, I set out to bring them to completion. Two of those projects will publish soon.
I’m happy to share a sneak peek at the cover of Kokab’s Wish, my Christmas picture book coming out this October. For a look at my second book, A Poem’s Home: Held in the Heart, also releasing this fall, check out my poetry page.
Watch for upcoming details!
